The purpose of the NBL is to promote the sport of bicycling and to sanction and
to supervise bicycling competition and events. By its very nature as
a nonprofit family oriented volunteer organization the NBL strives
to inspire its members with the highest ideas of character building,
sportsmanship, courage, determination, patriotism, goal attainment,
responsibility and accountability of conduct. The NBL wants all of its
members to be happy and resourceful citizens.
Bicycle motocross BMX is a family sport where individuals of all ages
compete within their own age and class from beginner to expert. Weekly
practices and races will be held at the Boulder City BMX track. The
track is sanctioned and governed by the rules of the National Bicycle
League which promotes bicycle racing as a fun sport with emphasis on
safely and sportsmanship. NBL riders will have an opportunity to compete
in BMX as well as mountain bike racing at local, state, regional and
national competitions held at NBL tracks located throughout Nevada and
the entire country. Future plans for Boulder City BMX track will include
hosting NBL pro series national series events which will bring national
recognition to Boulder City.
